EVENT ASSOCIATE

The Event Associate ensures that our standards of customer service and satisfaction are exceeded throughout the entire event planning process from the event finalization phase to execution.

OPPORTUNITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Plan, organize and finalize all event details to ensure client satisfaction on the day of the event.
  • Supervise and over-see the service of special events, acting as a liaison between the client, kitchen, and service team.
  • Be a main point of contact with preferred vendors for event services, including: florists, décor, set-up and day of coordination professionals, lighting and DJ Services, and event rental companies.
  • Co-ordinate event logistics for sample tastings to ensure that all the details of the sample tasting are confirmed for their upcoming event.
  • Create floor plans and banquet event orders for wedding, corporate, and social events.
  • Assist clients during the planning process by making recommendations, and answering any questions.
  • Attend team meetings prior to all events to guarantee successful execution.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 years’ experience as an event coordinator and/or maître d’ is required.
  • Post-Secondary education, specialization in Event Management, Professional Event Planning, Tourism, Hospitality Management, Social Sciences, or Arts preferred.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service mindset as well as a high level of ethics and integrity.
  • Flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, and can adapt to high stressful situations.
