Position Details:
Job Type: part-time, permanent

What you will be doing:
As a Set-Up & Décor team member, you’ll help turn each client’s vision into a welcoming event space. From arranging furniture to adding the finishing touches, your work helps set the scene for memorable celebrations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Arrange tables, chairs, and furniture according to event contracts and floor plans
- Decorate head tables, presentation tables, and accent areas with linens, skirting, and décor
- Set guest tables with dishware, glassware, centerpieces, and other required items to Carmens Group standards
- Ensure décor and table settings are clean, polished, and placed with care
- Learn our décor options and the set-up requirements for different events
- Complete room changes and post-event teardown safely and efficiently
- Keep décor storage areas clean, organized, and ready for upcoming events
- Follow the Manager’s direction and check that each space matches the event specifications
- Use attention to detail and sound judgment to resolve set-up challenges
- Safely lift and move furniture and equipment throughout the venue
- Support other set-up, décor, and event operations as needed
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in presentation, and works well in a busy event environment.
What You Bring to the Team
- Experience in events, catering, or a similar role is an asset
- Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prepare event spaces on schedule
- A commitment to creating welcoming, memorable experiences for guests
- A keen eye for detail and pride in how each space looks
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to help where needed
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs climbing stairs, and walking throughout your shift
- Flexible availability to work daytime shifts and on weekends is required
